Cookie Policy

Version 2026-10 · last updated 6 October 2026

In short

  • Our website uses no tracking or marketing cookies and loads no marketing pixels.
  • We only use two functional cookies: one for your theme choice (light/dark) and one that remembers your choice in the cookie settings.
  • We measure visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which uses no cookies.
  • A Google map on a deal or venue page may set Google cookies.
  • In the app we don't track you: no advertising identifier (IDFA), no App Tracking Transparency, no third-party analytics.

We measure visits without cookies. With your consent, we also place cookies from advertising partners so we can see which ads work. Without consent, the site works exactly the same.

Necessary

Remembers your language, appearance and this choice.

Cookies from advertising partners to measure ads.

1. What this policy covers

This cookie policy applies to the website joinflits.com and to the Flits app of Nafite B.V. (Flits), Spoorstraat 30A, 6511 AH Nijmegen, KvK 76060217.

Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser. There are also similar technologies, such as localStorage (storage in your browser) and pixels or scripts that read data from your device. In this policy, "cookies" covers all of these.

How we handle personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy.

2. What the website uses by default

2.1 Functional cookies

NamePurposeRetention
flits-themeRemembers whether you want the site light or dark1 year
flits-consentRemembers your choice in the cookie settings (allow or refuse)180 days

We don't remember your language in a cookie: the English site lives under /en in the web address.

These cookies are needed to make the site work the way you chose. They are not used to track you. No consent is needed for this.

2.2 Vercel Web Analytics (cookieless)

To see how the website is used, we use Vercel Web Analytics. It counts page visits and a few actions, such as:

  • a click on "Download Flits" or "Sign up your venue";
  • a submitted callback form;
  • use of the calculator (with the result colour);
  • viewing a deal page and a click on "Open in Flits";
  • signing up for a city's waiting list.

Vercel Web Analytics sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. Visitors are not tracked across days or websites. We only see totals, not profiles of individuals. That is why we don't ask for consent for this.

2.3 Form security

Our forms (callback request, waiting list, newsletter) are protected by a hidden field, a minimum completion time and a limit on requests per IP address and email address. We use no cookies and no third-party captcha service for this.

3. Third-party content on the website

  • Google maps. On a deal page (/d/…) and a venue page (/z/…) we show a map of the venue using Google Maps. When that map loads, Google receives your IP address and may use its own cookies. Google's privacy policy applies to that.
  • App Store links. Links and the app banner to the App Store only contain a campaign code (such as "home" or "venues") so we can see which page leads to downloads, without tracking you.
  • Stripe payment pages. Venues pay for their subscription on Stripe's pages (via a link in an email). Those pages are on Stripe's domain; Stripe's cookie policy applies there.

We currently use no marketing pixels. No script from an advertising or social media service is loaded, not even if you tap "allow" in the cookie settings.

If we start using a marketing pixel in the future, for example to measure whether an ad leads to a download, we will:

  • only load it after your consent via the cookie settings;
  • list here in advance which service it is, the provider, the purpose, how long the data is kept and whether it leaves the EEA;
  • update the version of this policy.
  • You record your choice in the cookie settings on this page. Refusing is as easy as allowing, and the website keeps working normally.
  • You can change your choice on this page at any time. A new choice applies from that moment on.
  • You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you clear them, the website forgets your theme choice and your choice in the cookie settings.

6. In the app

  • The Flits app uses no tracking cookies, no advertising identifier (IDFA) and does not ask for permission via App Tracking Transparency, because we don't track you outside the app.
  • We use no third-party analytics or advertising services in the app.
  • The app only stores what it needs to work on your device: your sign-in session (securely in the iOS Keychain), your settings, and data to show your ticket or receipt offline.
  • To improve the app, we keep pseudonymised usage statistics in our own database in the EU. You can switch this off in the app (Profile → Account → "Don't share product analytics"). See section 2.12 of the Privacy Policy.
  • We only receive crash reports through Apple, if you have allowed this in your iOS settings.
  • The app only uses location and notifications with your permission via iOS. You can change this at any time in your iPhone or iPad settings.

7. Changes

We update this cookie policy when something changes, for example when we add a marketing pixel. The version and the date of the last change are always shown at the top.
